RE: RV sales down..... Local story news

WE went to the Kansas State Fair and last year there were 8 rv dealers there this year there were 4. I sold my atv because it was $150 in gas there and back plus another $20 for the atv for a weekend. Now i want a bigger trailer to just go camping in. From TT to 5ver.

RE: CrossRoads ?

Im looking at a 2005 27rl cruiser. They are asking $20,000. It is very clean. The dealer wont budge on price. Should i get it or go on?

RE: lightweight 5th wheels

I glad someone else is also looking for a light weight 5ver. I have a 2004 dodge 2500 with a hemi. Its rated for 10,000lbs so im also looking for a lite 5ver. I have been looking at crossroads cruiser the heartland sundance xlt, north trail are the same and the keystone cougar. Big tanks are a must. Hey amxpress will you send me the rv comparison guide? And shipmice How does the xlt pull? Im very interested in what you have to say about your 5ver. We have a dealer that has heartland and keystone trailers. This is an awsome site with some very awsome people.

RE: Towing a 5th with a Ram 2500 Hemi?

I also have a 04 2500 hemi reg cab 4x4 3.73 gears and auto trans. I pull a 24ft dutchmen TT it might weight 5000lbs. We go to the nascar races in Texas and Kansas City. I drive 65mph and get 7.5mpg. Im also looking at the 27ft wildcat and the 27ft croosroads cruiser 5th wheels. I love the truck and the high rpms sound awsome with the new exaust and airaid intake. I live near Wichita kansas. I only have 26,500 miles on it so the diesel is not an option now, maybe in 25 years when we retire.

RE: Hail Damage...

I bought a used 2000 dutchmen with hail damage on one side. The inside is like new. The price was real cheap and i can live with my trailer as is. On a new trailer i would not accept it inless the price was worth it.

RE: fuel savings towing a 5ver

I would love to have a cummins 1 old ram. I had the truck before the trailer. My Dodge is an 04 with 26000 miles on it, and i got it new. I might pull 1000 miles a year, the rest of the time it sits in the garage or i drive it around town. I turn 40 this year and still have a lot of camping to do, I would love to have a 5ver and better mpg, but a new 5ver looks better than a new truck. You all are the best with some great info and pics.

RE: fuel savings towing a 5ver

Dang i get 7.5 with our 5000LB TT behind my 2500 hemi at 65-70mph. I'm also looking at trading up to a 5ver. I wonder if mine would suck more fuel.

RE: Cruiser 5ver

I also have looked at the cruiser 5vers and thought the dealer was awsome. He came down $3000 while i was standing there and may come down more. http://www.bandbtraveland.com/ I bought a popup from them and had great luck and support.

RE: Weather cracked tires - Go or No Go ??

I'm in the same boat with good tread and side wall cracks. Have any of you heard of or used the Hercules hercumile st trailer tires. I can get them from work at $52.00 a piece or goodyear marithons for $75.00 a piece. Both have the same 6ply and 1760lbs.

RE: denman or goodyear tires

Yea I don't make $30 an hour, but still get up and go to work everyday and shop at walmart and buy gas from who ever is cheapest. I love the USA and everything it stands for. I have goodyears on my TT that were made in 01. If they are built in china or Russia or the USA I will by them again.

RE: crossroads cruiser.

Holy******that makes my wallet hurt. Thats some real bad luck. From the posts i've read I should stay away from the 04 crossroads. I hope the 08 are better built. I'm still looking at this and other brands. Talking to the dealers, no matter what mfg, there product is the best so its up to me to decide. You guys are the best, no bs, the truth and only the truth!!:B
